Who｜我是誰 Who | Who I Am

我是 馬新傑，一個具有多文化成長背景、跨領域學習經驗，並且擅長把複雜問題整理成清楚結構的人。I am Hsin-Chieh Ma (馬新傑) — someone with a multicultural upbringing, cross-disciplinary learning experience, and a strength for turning complex problems into clear structure.

我的背景不是單一路線，而是從 business operation、data analytics、system thinking，一路延伸到 process improvement 和 AI-enabled workflow。相比只專注在單一工具或單一職能，我更重視的是：如何把分散的資料、模糊的需求和複雜的流程，整理成可以被理解、追蹤和改善的系統。My path is not a single track. It runs from business operations and data analytics through system thinking to process improvement and AI-enabled workflows. Rather than focusing on one tool or one function, I care more about how to organize scattered data, ambiguous requirements and complex processes into systems that can be understood, tracked and improved.

我習慣先看整體方向，再拆解問題背後的規則、流程和關鍵矛盾。面對新的環境或不清楚的問題時，我通常不會只停留在表面，而是會先觀察系統如何運作，整理資訊，釐清不同角色的需求，最後建立一套清楚的邏輯去推動事情往前。I tend to look at the overall direction first, then break down the rules, processes and key tensions behind a problem. Facing a new environment or unclear issue, I rarely stay at the surface; I observe how the system works, organize information, clarify what different stakeholders need, and build clear logic to move things forward.

我也比較偏結果導向和主動型，不太喜歡只停留在概念討論，而是會關心這件事情最後能不能落地、能不能改善效率、能不能幫助團隊做出更好的決策。這也是為什麼我在工作中會特別重視資料邏輯、流程結構、跨部門溝通和長期可維護性。I am also results-oriented and proactive. I do not like staying in abstract discussion alone — I care whether something can be implemented, whether it improves efficiency, and whether it helps the team make better decisions. That is why I place particular emphasis on data logic, process structure, cross-functional communication and long-term maintainability at work.

    我習慣把混亂的問題拆解成資料來源、業務規則、流程節點和使用場景，再整理成可以長期維護的 dashboard、archive table、data model 或 tracking logic。I break messy problems into data sources, business rules, process steps and use cases, then organize them into dashboards, archive tables, data models or tracking logic that can be maintained over time.

    我不只是使用 AI 工具，而是思考如何把 AI、automation、workflow 和資料系統結合，讓重複性的工作變得更有效率、更可維護。I do not just use AI tools; I think about how to combine AI, automation, workflows and data systems so repetitive work becomes more efficient and maintainable.

When｜我是如何被塑造的 When | How I Was Shaped

我的個性和工作方式，從成長背景開始就慢慢被塑造。My personality and way of working were shaped early by how I grew up.

從小到高中畢業以前，我並不是只處在單一文化或單一環境裡。我的成長過程帶有多文化背景，後來又經歷加拿大求學、新加坡工作，以及台灣、中國大陸、東南亞不同生活與商業環境的影響。Before graduating high school, I was never in just one culture or one environment. My upbringing was multicultural, followed by studying in Canada, working in Singapore, and living across Taiwan, mainland China and Southeast Asia — each with different business and social rhythms.

這樣的經歷讓我很早就習慣觀察不同環境的規則、溝通方式和做事節奏。我也慢慢形成一種習慣：在進入新環境時，我會先觀察系統如何運作，理解不同人為什麼有不同立場，然後找到可以協調、整合和改善的空間。That taught me early to observe how rules, communication styles and working rhythms differ. I formed a habit: when entering a new environment, I first watch how the system works, understand why people hold different positions, then find room to coordinate, integrate and improve.

這也塑造了我後來的工作方式：我不太害怕複雜和不確定，反而會習慣先拆解問題，再建立結構，最後推動落地。This shaped how I work today: I am not afraid of complexity or uncertainty. I break problems down, build structure, then drive execution.

我的經驗來自幾個不同環境。My experience comes from several different environments.

    這讓我理解真實商業世界裡，產品、價格、客戶、訂單、交付和售後是如何連動的。This taught me how product, pricing, customers, orders, delivery and after-sales connect in the real business world.

    我在 University of Toronto 學習 Economics and Statistics，建立了商業理解和資料分析基礎；後來在 Singapore Management University 讀 MSc Management，方向是 Operations Track，讓我更重視流程改善、專案管理和 stakeholder communication。At the University of Toronto I studied Economics and Statistics, building a foundation in business understanding and data analysis. At Singapore Management University I completed an MSc in Management (Operations Track), strengthening my focus on process improvement, project management and stakeholder communication.

    我持續研究 AI agents、automation、database、RAG workflow 和 personal data center，這讓我不只停留在工作任務本身，而是持續思考未來工作方式可以如何被工具和系統重新設計。I continue exploring AI agents, automation, databases, RAG workflows and personal data centers — thinking beyond day-to-day tasks about how future ways of working can be redesigned with tools and systems.

這些背景對我重要，因為它們共同塑造了我的核心特質。This background matters because it shaped my core traits together.

我不是只做報表的人，也不是只寫程式的人。我更像是一個把 business、data、process 和 system 串起來的人。I am not someone who only builds reports, and not someone who only writes code. I am someone who connects business, data, process and systems.

多文化背景讓我更能理解不同人、不同部門和不同工作方式之間的差異；資料分析訓練讓我能把問題拆成清楚邏輯；系統思維讓我能把一次性的工作變成可重複使用的流程；而 PM 經驗則讓我能協調不同團隊，把分歧推向共識。A multicultural background helps me understand differences across people, departments and working styles. Data training helps me break problems into clear logic. Systems thinking turns one-off work into reusable processes. PM experience helps me align teams and move disagreement toward consensus.

所以對我來說，我的成長背景和工作經驗，其實都指向同一件事：So for me, my upbringing and work experience point to the same thing:

我擅長把複雜、分散、不清楚的問題，整理成可理解、可追蹤、可執行、可改善的方案。 I am good at turning complex, scattered, unclear problems into solutions that are understandable, trackable, executable and improvable.

這也是我未來想往 data-driven operations、process transformation 和 AI-enabled workflow 發展的原因。That is also why I want to grow toward data-driven operations, process transformation and AI-enabled workflows.
